1. What were your most important reasons for deciding to become clinically integrated?
We thought we couldn't contract without CI, it was the best way to go forward. We had the experience of other local systems who were engaged with CI. Also there were the legal/FTC implications that required CI.
2. What about ICLOPS appealed to your organization in the beginning?
The choice was made to go with ICLOPS prior to my starting as the Medical Director. We knew we didn't have the resources within our PHO and needed to outsource this process, and ICLOPS had this wonderful tool.
3. How do you think ICLOPS differs from competitors who are helping PHOs or IPAs pursue clinical integration?
ICLOPS gathers the data on all of the patients within the practice, not just those from one payer source. Other vendors required the practices to enter patient data, including the demographic data. This is handled by ICLOPS.
4. Can you describe what you believe ICLOPS brings to the table for Clinical Integration?
ICLOPS has systems for gathering data and presenting it in a clear and understandable fashion. This data will allow the PHO to engage in other projects with our physicians.
